Activision delays new seasons for Call of Duty amid unrest

Activision has announced that it has delayed the new seasons of its Call of Duty games in the middle troubles in the USA.

National protests broke out and turned into violence after the murder of a black man by a white police officer in Minneapolis.

Sony and Electronic Arts have canceled major events this week, and others may follow suit if things get worse.

Activision said the new fourth season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone has been delayed, as well as season seven for Call of Duty: Mobile.

“Now is the time for those who advocate for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard,” Activision said in a tweet. “We are by your side.”

The initial response to the tweet was not encouraging, as one player said, “It’s stupid.” A second said, “Good decision, I respect it.” And so on, with players weighing as they like.
