The world of Valheim made its debut at the PC Gaming Show on Saturday, as the developers showed a trailer that gave an idea of the environments and action in the Viking survival game.
The game comes from Iron Gate Studio, a small Swedish game development studio working on its first game. The game has been in the works for years
The game has features such as dynamic wind, which can blow grass and tree leaves in all directions. You will see the leaves and grass waving and swinging depending on the wind direction. It affects the speed of Viking yachts and blows fabric around it.
The environments are magnificent, with a mixture of realistic and stylized art. Humans, for example, look like 3D cartoon characters, but the grass, water, and trees seem very realistic. I like the combined effect of the different artistic styles, and the video is quite moving with the loud music. It is sure to take advantage of all the hype around the Vikings these days.
