New Game+ Expo on June 23 is an online showcase for Japanese games

With the Electronic entertainment fair, Gamescom, the Tokyo Game Show, and pretty much every industry event in mothballs because of the pandemic, publishers are looking for opportunities to show their releases for the next year. If you’re one of the triple A people, you organize your own event. A bunch of indies gathered to Guerrilla Collective, an online event from June 6 to 8.

But what if you are a mid-size publisher or a niche studio? Well, you get together with like-minded people and start your own event. And that’s exactly what Arc System Works, Koei-Tecmo, NIS America, Sega, and 10 others did.

Today, a group of 14 publishers announces New Game + Expo, a digital event taking place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific Time June 23 on Twitch. This presentation will feature dozens of games, and as it is a replacement for E3 and other such events, there will be new game announcements and live gameplay demos. While people still practice social distancing, they are looking for new ways to interact with creators, and events like this help connect and showcase their games to their customers … without risking a coronavirus outbreak in a convention center.

The range of publishers includes:
