Skydance Interactive promotes Chris Busse after The Walking Dead VR success

Skydance Interactive announced today that gaming industry veteran Chris Busse is taking over as interim president. He replaces Chris Hewish, who is now president of Xsolla.

Skydance focuses on VR games. His last title, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, was the most successful VR game in the PlayStation Store in May. The studio is part of the larger Skydance Productions, which is behind blockbuster movies like The Impossible mission , making it a leading development house in the virtual reality industry.

Busse had been managing director of Skydance Interactive and executive vice president of development. It was he who oversaw the development of Saints & Sinners, which shows that the studio hopes to be able to continue to promote this quality with its future games.

Before Skydance, Busse was a founding member of The Workshop Entertainment, which is behind successes like The Evil Within and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Before that, he was at Treyarch.
