Spider-Man: Miles Morales comes to PS5 this holiday

Surprise! We already have a new Spider-Man game this year, and it’s coming to PlayStation 5 this holiday season. Sony revealed Spider-Man: Miles Morales during its PS5 event today. The game stars Mile Morales instead of Peter Parker, although the former can be heard in the trailer.

Miles Morales made his comic strip debut in 2011. There he takes on Spider-Man’s coat after the death of Peter Parker. The world has also become familiar with the character thanks to its main role in Spider-Man: in the Spider-Verse, an animated film released in theaters in 2018. Miles Morales was also a secondary character in Insomniac’s latest Spider-Man game.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales could be a launch title for PS5, but we don’t know when exactly this system will launch. Sony has just said “vacation 2020”. Evan Narcisse, who wrote the comic book Rise of the Black Panther, works on the game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man was released on PS4 in 2018. It was a huge success, selling over 13.2 million copies.
